1) The note is produced from a new type of treated paper, to endure circulation.
2) The watermark is the portrait of the Ancient Egyptian Scribe. At the bottom of the watermark, the numerical value of the note (200) is printed with higher transparency (see the attached specimen).
3) A glossy 3 mm. wide holographic strip: it appears intermittent, but is visible as a continuous line when held up against transmitted light. Inscriptions with the denomination value of the note are printed on this strip which reflects rainbow colors, giving the shape of a pharaonic cartouche and the Lotus flower.
4) A magnetic 1.5 mm wide security thread – identifiable by counting machines at banks – is embedded in the note. The thread is imprinted with the words "200 pounds" (negative).
5) The see-through element: when the note is viewed under transmitted light, a part of the denomination numeral printed on the face combines with the other part on the back to form (200).
6) Printing with the OVI ink (on the top left of the face): when the note is tilted, the ink changes colour form copper to green and vice versa.
7) Raised print: a new element (representing horizontal lines) is printed on two sides of the note, to make the raised tactile effect more prominent.
8) Serial numbers are printed in fluorescent inks, that fluoresce in red and green under ultra-violet light.
9) Microprint: apparently in the shape of ordinary lines, but under a magnifying glass is readable as "two hundred pounds" in Arabic.
10) The latent image: the numerical value (200) appears when the note is tilted.
11) The intaglio print: being one of the main security features, as it produces a unique raised feel unmatched by any other printing, it is used in the LE 200 note.
12) Under ultra-violet light, the note appears dull, while the following elements glow:
A) A pharaonic cartouche in the middle of the note inside which the Numerical value (200) is printed.
B) A glossy fluorescent strip in yellowish green.
C) Colored fluorescent fibers.
D) Under ultra-violet light, the serial number of the note appears Twice: once in bright red, and another time in bright green.
